KHIVA: A STEP INTO THE MAGIC OF ITCHAN-KALA

Khiva Walking tour

Khiva is the only open-air museum city in Central Asia that has preserved its authentic appearance almost entirely. The heart of the city, the ancient Itchan-Kala fortress, is a UNESCO World Heritage site surrounded by massive clay walls where the legends of the Silk Road come to life. Walking through narrow streets among turquoise domes and carved wooden columns, you will feel like a character in an Oriental fairy tale where time stood still centuries ago.

📍 ROUTE:

  • Ota-Darvoza — the main gate of the ancient citadel.
  • M. Aminkhan Madrasah and Kalta-Minor (1851–1854) — the turquoise symbol of the city.
  • M. Rahimkhan Madrasah (1871) — a center of science and poetry.
  • History of the Mennonite Germans — a unique cultural trace.
  • Juma Mosque (X century) — a hall of 213 unique carved columns.
  • Museum of Scientists (1765) — the heritage of the great minds of the East.
  • Tash-Khovli Palace and Harem (1830–1838) — the luxury of Allakulikhan.
  • Caravanserai (1830) — the spirit of trade on the Great Silk Road.
  • Islam-Khoja Minaret (1910–1912) — the highest point of Khiva.
  • Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum (1247–1326) — the main shrine of the city.
  • Shergazikhan Madrasah (1765) — an ancient school of medicine.

I have always loved traveling along unexplored routes. This time my choice fell on Bukhara. For a long time I doubted which company to cooperate with, but reviews on the Internet convinced me to contact SEE TOUR. And I was not mistaken! From the very beginning of the trip I was surrounded with care and attention.
